LIONS PARK

Public BBQ

Lions Park offers a shaded riverside respite along the south-west driving route, with barbecue facilities and picnic tables set in a fenced area safely separated from the road. The park connects to a riverside track where visitors can stretch their legs while listening to birdlife, with the river itself proving popular for swimming near the bridge. Ample space accommodates multiple groups beneath generous shade cover, and the location sits conveniently beside netball courts. While the park itself lacks toilet facilities (with netball court amenities often locked), functional toilets are available up the road near the river. The setting provides a practical lunch stop after visiting Boyanup's bakery, combining riverside ambience with essential amenities for travellers breaking up their journey through Western Australia's south-west region.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
